The whole project of dressing a crab or undressing a crab had caught Vivi's imagination from the River Side cook book. We followed the text and illustrations but must say that we also invented or used much better tools than described. A nutcracker or in Swedish "Nötknäppare" we found most useful.
The end result after much hard work, messy fingers, cuts of sharp obstacles was served in a beautifully arranged shell and if we may say so very tasty. The meat was arranged in white and dark and divided with chopped whole egg yolks and whites. Hard to describe to give justice...

Our boat is now up on dry land
Just before we gave up trying to go any further. I can't see anything actually, merely deciding where to anchor.
. OK now we are out of the water. It cleared up very quickly when it started. Took 2 hours though. One gets used to clambering up onto the boat despite it rocking on the cradle support.
Nice and polished for the winter. Have removed all the algal junk on the keel and below the waterline and the antifouling paint seems OK. More algae this year than normal though.
Not withstanding that we were two hours late for the crane to lift us out of the water, due to thick fog on the lake which meant that we anchored for two hours in 10 meters visibility, all ended well and Aluette is now out of the water and awaiting her covering for the winter. She looks quite small here, considering how big she really is (two and a half tons) but still looks sleek and fast (as she is on the water). The keel, by the way ways exactly one metric ton. We should have someone standing by the side to give an idea of the perspective and size of the boat.Boat out of the water
Well the boat is now out of the water and on dry land. It looks a bit different on it's supports. Still it's easier to clean the barnacles and algae off the bottom.
